Cafes in Korea

Oh how I miss cafes in Korea.

coming home

10 hours from now I will be crossing the pacific ocean. I am heading home with some fresh perspective. The kind of perspective that only traveling brings. Traveling does change a person, I see why people do it so much. The four months in Korea have gone past me so fast. Its feels surreal to leave this place to head towards a place I once called 'home.'

the lights are on.

My heart belongs to a turkey today. Its thanksgiving day (US time)! A holiday my belly never seizes to miss. My stomach is growling for all that thanksgiving goodness but my heart is longing for my family. I imagine myself making mashed potatoes as my mom checks on the ham in the oven. She would probably say something along the lines of learning how to cook turkey for next year's feast but will never come around to doing so. (Nobody frets over the big bird because we are bigger fans of chicken. The Rhos love chicken!) After stuffing my face with seconds I would fall into the I ate too much for my own good food coma. When I wake up I would feel the urge to get out the Christmas tree to prepare for my most cherished holiday...Christmas =).

If I were home the Christmas lights would be on. If I were home I'd be with my family.
